In a previous article, we touched on the benefits of seed cycling to balance your hormones and reduce PMS symptoms. We know that starting something new can be daunting, so we thought we’d help you get the ball rolling with these sweet and nutty seed balls. Snack on 3 to 4 a day to ensure you start reaping the benefits of seed cycling.

0.5 cup almond, cashew, or peanut butter

0.5 cup sunflower seed butter or tahini

3-4 Tbsp maple syrup

1 cup raw, finely-ground organic flax & pumpkin seeds

0.5 cup dried fruit (cranberries, raisins, chopped dates, currants, etc.)

0.5 cup unsweetened medium shred coconut

0.5 cup gluten-free oats

Your choice of any of the following, to taste – cinnamon, cocoa powder, nutmeg, ginger powder, pure vanilla extract, etc.

In a small mixing bowl, add nut/seed butter and maple syrup and stir well. Add spices of your choice, or leave it plain and enjoy the maple flavour. Stir well.

Add ground seeds and stir to combine.

Gradually, add dried fruit, shredded coconut, and oats. Stir until evenly distributed.

Form mixture into balls.

For best texture, store in the freezer.

Snack away!
